How To Give Another Person Google Analytics Guest Access

Most website owners understand that having Google Analytics is crucial to understanding how their website is performing. We have written previously about this and other tools that small businesses should utilise. There are other analytics tools out there, but since Google Analytics is easy to install (especially on WordPress websites), easy to use, contains so much valuable information, and best of all is free, it really is a no-brainer to have it on your website.

However, sometimes you may wish to share your analytics data with someone else. They may be doing some work for you, and need to track the changes they are making. Or you might be selling your site, and the prospective buyer wishes to have a look at how much traffic your site is getting, or where the traffic is coming from. In these instances, rather than handing over your Google account to someone else, it is easy to set them up with Google Analytics guest access… or read-only access to your statistics. This gives you the freedom to share your statistics with whoever you chose, and you can revoke access at any time.

Procedure to grant Google Analytics Guest Access

Below is the procedure to providing Google Analytics guest access to someone else:

  1. Log into your Google Analytics. Go to https://analytics.google.com/
  1. Click on “ADMIN”
